چکیده

This study focuses on the finite element simulation of piles with different models in sandy soils using software PLAXIS 3D V20. The parametric has conducted to investigate influence multiple parameters axial capacity steel soil, including cross-section variables two cases: open and close-ended piles. typical circular square were selected as reference for comparison open-ended tapered pile 3b showed an increase maximum load about 210% more than section, while 176% solid section. In terms effect pile’s type, all sections outperformed sections, section showing a 146% its lowest difference between just 120% increase. These results that tapering is much efficient any straight-sided or even pile. also short pile's smaller corresponding closed-ended

Three-dimensional Finite Element Modelling of Dynamic Pile–soil–pile Interaction in Time Domain

Dynamic analysis of embedded foundations like pile groups have received considerable attention in the past. Most existing approaches are established in the frequency domain, not allowing the simulation of material and geometric nonlinearities. In this paper, transient analyses are conducted to calculate the impedance of piles and pile groups, using a full three-dimensional numerical model for b...

Modeling soil pile bioremediation

A model is presented for the analysis of bioremediation applied to an ex situ soil pile. The approach is based on the remediation of a pile containing the contaminated soil, which has been excavated from its original location, placed atop a bottom liner system and encapsulated with an impermeable cover. The liner system contains and isolates the contaminated soil and provides process control po...

A Proposed Modeling Method in Finite Element Slope Stability Analysis

Limit-equilibrium method (LEM) and finite element method (FEM) with strength reduction method (SRM) techniques are the most widely used analysis tools in slope stability assessment. Recently, researchers have reported that both factor of safety (FOS) values and failure surfaces obtained from LEM and FEM are generally in good agreement, except in some particular cases. In this paper, the FOS and...

Electric Circuit Analysis using Finite Element Modeling

Electric circuit analysis determines the voltage and current distribution in an electric circuit due to applied source voltages or currents. In a static (DC) electric circuit analysis, the voltage and current distribution in an electric circuit is determined that is subjected to applied DC source voltages or currents. In a harmonic (AC) electric circuit analysis, the voltage and current distrib...

Analysis of Roll Wear in Reshaping Using Finite Element Simulation

Reshaping process is a widely used method for producing tubes with non-circular cross sections. Owing to the friction between pipe and rolls, initial round pipe moves forward and consequently, it gradually formed into square or rectangular one. In practice, geometric profile of the rolls will be changed after a while. These changes would be detrimental the production of faultless products. Ther...
